cross dissolve fail, multi-cam edit
odd failure. doesn't happen time, , doesn't happen because of lacking head/tail frames on either side of transtion. does, cross dissolve (wrong) camera angle, on first half of dissolve.
context: 2 camera feeds, both avchd. using pc (win7) ppro cs6. brought both feeds source sequence vid1 , vid2. nested multi-cam edit sequence use multi-camera monitor pick camera angles. nested multi-cam edit sequence target sequence more extensive editing.
the object film teacher teaching class make hour long vid on dvd. client wanted cut out pauses, "um"s, , other misc. mistakes , distractions, there's lots of cuts in target sequence. results in obvious continuity errors. cross dissolves come in. i'd use cross dissolves "smooth over" continutity problems can't cut other camera angle whatever reason.
as said, cross dissolves work should. couple have not. here's example of i'm getting ppro cs6:
note 2 different camera angles. note front half of dissolve. when transition moves second half of dissolve, this:
note program monitor shows both shots same camera angle, should show. note effects control panel shows 2 different camera angels. shows end end of transition, second half of transition in disagreement program monitor.
note effects control panel not indicating lack of head/tail footage make dissolve work.
i've used trim monitor more closely, , it's showing me this:
note 2 different camera angles. note switched program monitor view image 2 above, looks first half of transition though it's second half. when export (ppro file...export...media) make quick web video see footage looks outside of ppro, program monitor in first 2 images shows -- first half of dissolve uses 2 different camera angles, second half uses same camera angle.
so.... i'm lost. tell me i've done wrong?
with experience on tihs list, can't believe i'm first person have happen.
but if am, bug in ppro cs6 maybe?
