Please help with Paragraph Style

i have created paragraph style use when placing text microsoft word document indesign document.  set same way predecessor set paragraph styles before me.  however, new style doesn't seem able make adjustments when comes font type.  new style supposed make text adobe garamond pro bold, ligatures, not adjust when parts of text italicized (so not convert them bold italic).  please advise on how this.

during word place (import), if toggle show options, preserve local overrides enabled; italic's (and other character overrides) applied word doc preserved. useful if after place/import document, want apply ital character style.

 

if highlight text, see plus sign in para style; indicates local overrides, not triggered indesign character style. para style panel flydown remove overrides, or hold alt , click style clear overrides.

 

but; might  want retain overrides - there scripts available, or can done find/change

 

find > leave find , replace fields blank, use character attributes options @ bottom of find dialog apply character style

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
