Prevent Reader as default viewer...iewer
is possible prevent reader x taking pdf ownership third-party viewers? use multiple pdf products , understand leave_pdfownership , iw_default_verb control whether acrobat or reader default, however, there appears not option if "neither" product default.
have tried leave_pdfownership @ cmdline , within mst reader takes ownership of pdf filetype.
anyone successful?
you may asking impossible because different product installers behave differently. example, last installed product take ownership of file extensions. complexity @ registry level multiplies when start thinking file extensions, browser behavior, , shell extensions. of options involve significant effort. these off cuff guesses:
- install owning product last.
- use program regshot figure out prefs being set each product , develop , test reg pref strategy.
- use 1 pdf viewer.
