Right-Click in canvas to identify layer not working (Photoshop CS6 x64 on Win 7 x64)

this function working in os x, on windows when right click within canvas list of layers under mouse, historically since far can remember since photoshop had layers (rev 3.0 in 1995?) when right click in windows within canvas, list of layers under mouse, uppermost layer highlighted easy identification , location of contents of layers.

i've run patches , updates , have uninstalled/re-installed cs6. i'm shocked not see reported anywhere , must assume isolated issue on system?

 

please help!

on windows 64/ps 64 system,selecting move tool , placing cursor on part of document should list layers under position when right clicked. if select layer list layers panel should highlight 1 selected.

 

this works same both cs4 , cs6 64-bit. right-clicked image not indicate current layer,just list.

 

it should work way in windows.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
