Second monitor images grey dim dull

upgraded lr4. when selecting 2nd monitor (gateway) photo images show dim dull dark greyed out.  if move lr window primary (nec) gateway menu items , selections normal.  images dull dim grey including histogram.  selecting 2nd monitor feature places loupe on primary display (nec) works fine.

if reset windows 7 , designate primary monitor gateway problem remains unchanged. 

if place main lr window on gateway , select preview of 2nd monitor (ctrl-click) pop window renders correctly on gateway.

turned off icc profiles monitors no improvement.

 

windows 7pro 64-bit 8gb ram quad processor drivers date.  nvidia card date.

 

 

other non lr windows programs , images opened on second monitor fine.

the gateway render correctly 2nd monitor pop preview image; monitor display.

 

i stumped.  if have time go lr3 , double check works fine.

follow on issue.  did system restore day of lr 4.1 install.  works fine.  second monitor issue disappeared.  appears problem windows 7 64-bit issue.  restoring catalog , image files current.  re-check lr proceed allow windows 7 system update.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
