hello guys, quantitative research , want build desktop works, main use computational matlab (with cuda), octave, r, c + + etc..
had in mind basic configuration:
- 3.4 ghz intel core i7 2600k + powerline hyper fan tx3
- motherboard asus rampage iii gene
- corsair dominator dhx pc memory pro 6 x 4 gb ddr3-1333 - pc3-10600 - cl9 (cmp24gx3m6a1333c9)
- asus geforce gtx 560

, more general components.
- case + power supply
- 2 - 2tb sata2 32mb cache hard disk
- network adapter
- sound card

know think (advice & improvements), in basic conf, should have driver compatibility issues?

you'll have test specific hardware have, there should little or no problem hardware compatibility.

might @ kubuntu, xubuntu or lubuntu. defaults little different ubuntu, might them better.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
