Thread: Open Office Shading?
folks,
did new install of 10.04.2 , it's still stable after 3 days (which new record me) began using word processor. love program , being published novelist i've used number of them, there's 1 minor glitch don't know how change: when it's time format paragraph mouse movement cause dark shaded area cover of indentation , tweaking commands (line spacing, example). doesn't black them out entirely enough can't read say. since shading doesn't occur until mouse pointer on boxes sneak in, suppose, , make whatever formatting changes while can still see them that's rather inconvenient.
know how make shading go away?

hi
tried out on machine, using openoffice 3.2.1 , ubuntu 10.10.
text selection function shades text, say, on system text still visible. that's because highlighting colour pale lilac -- not everyone's taste maybe, it. text shows through shading no problem.
since shading dark on machine suspect have chosen different colour scheme me. 1 picked called 'clearlooks' -- chose because transparent.
can change using system > preferences > appearance menu. there many options choose from, affect applications on system, may want try out several.
wishes
john
