Thread: Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit does not recognize Windows 7 partition


when try install ubuntu 11.04 64-bit, shows entire hard drive empty, though have 300gb partition windows 7 (x64) installed , bootable. had installed ubuntu , tried windows recognize partition , able see linux, refused create , install bootable partition on same hard drive. hard drive 2tb western digital (wd20ears).

appreciated, i've tried google found cases ubuntu showed no free space, not showed free space.

need additional information one:

1. use livecd , take screenshot of how gparted sees drive; post here

2. run command livecd , post output:

sudo fdisk -lu
3. check in windows disk management utility , see whether disk reported basic or dynamic; let know which

4. disk ever part of raid array best of knowledge?
