X Window Manager crash with Flash Player

hi.

 

i'm flash developer working on ubuntu. i'm using flash player test flash applications:

 

i downloaded adobe website "linux flash player 11.2 plugin content debugger (tar.gz, 7.05mb)"

 

unfortunately every version of flash player bugged on linux. severly crashes x window manager in cannot restart x window manager anymore "sudo service gdm restart" neither can shutdown system "shutdown 0". when attempting restart x window manager or shutdown, system still running , impossible turn off. have long press of power button turn off computer want avoid. happens when execute player several times during testing. please adobe employees or expert linux users need fix issue.

we found out nvidia driver goes berserk , workaround disable hardware acceleration. disabling hardware acceleration fixes flash player's rendering bug in think directly writes  frame buffer. symptoms flash content still displayed directly underneath terminal despite being in minimized state. maybe there direct connection why nvidia driver crashes.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
