Chroma key question

hi,

 

i wondering if there around might have chroma tips. situation sitting in:

 

i have sourced hundreds of greenscreen books, , gone through them all. understand important step pulling key, lighting. particular shade of screen plays part, lighting of screen more important.

 

i have several shades of green have tested, lit daylight color corrected bulbs. lighter shade reflects much, , greenscreen specific shade (as per place bought from) requires more lights ire. in all, tests green greenscreen have been pretty good. however...we have character blue, , rather reflective. dont seem having luck greenscreen, wanted try red or yellow background see how work. can suggest proper color red , yellow me? went , bought 3m of red material (ok, more pink if have honest) , trying key trying pull chicken teeth! :-) results terrible - have better results green greenscreen , working on inside , edges seperately.

 

i understand 1 click key virtually impossible, , correct lighting "key", um.... "key"... - aware hues work better others, easier light, or give less spill.

 

so, after long paragraph of waffle, looking actual colour name go material store , buy few meters of different colors testing purposes. (one book specifies "botanical green" best "do shade")

has had experiences using coloured bulbs light screens? maybe bright green bulb boost green of greenscreen?
