Joomla 2.5 Installation- Database Configuration problem - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
i installing joomla 2.5 on remote host server after having built website using computer local host.i have set mysql database , have got necessary necessary information complete dialog boxes in database configuration section of joomla 2.5.7 installation process. cannot pass section following error message.
some errors occurred while populating database: table 'jcough2_johnbcnone43.lmyci_viewlevels' doesn't exist sql=insert `lmyci_viewlevels` (`id`, `title`, `ordering`, `rules`) values (1, 'public', 0, '[1]'), (2, 'registered', 1, '[6,2,8]'), (3, 'special', 2, '[6,3,8]')
the reason may related fact did not clear pre-installation check. have following errors on top half.
php version >= 5.2.4 yes
zlib compression support yes
xml support yes
database support:
(mysql, mysqli) yes
mb language default no php mbstring language not set neutral. can set locally entering php_value mbstring.language neutral in .htaccess file.
mb string overload off yes
ini parser support yes
json support yes
configuration.php writeable no
you can still continue installation configuration settings displayed @ end. have manually upload code. click in text area highlight of code , paste new text file. name file 'configuration.php' , upload site root folder.
with regard these errors not sure how modify .htaccess file. file text file have convert format in order modify it?
as configuration.php. found file called configuration.php_dist in installation folder. changed file writable on webshell. thought okay pre-installation check still comes no.
another issue not installing joomla in root directory in sub directory called munsterhillwalks.com. impression here file robots.txt needs moved root directory prefixing disallow path administrator munsterhillwalks.com folder. have completed particular task.
probably main issue me modify .htaccess file.
i grateful if give me pointers on this.

try use akeeba backup + kickstart move site.
