New iMac & Illustrator CS6... I thought performance would be better?

i have been using illustrator cs3 on dell pc past 4 years , have moved imac due frustrations windows issues.

 

i pleased imac in general  (i5, 2.7 ghz, 8 gigs ram, md radeon hd 6770m 512 mb) , mac osx mountain lion...

 

but little surprised general performance of illustrator cs6.  don't think runs smooth cs3 on old core duo dell.  dragging objects around screen, saving files seems slower.  when turning alignment guides off still think slower.  more sluggish screen lag compared have been use to.

 

is should expect?  need more ram?

 

a bit surprised , confused....

you can read article long has lot of information, cleaning called personal cache files think issue.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
