phpinfo() is working, but index.php gives http 500 error - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

my friend , working on website company, site hosted on windows server 2008 r2 iis 7.5.

a few days ago friend installed component , resulted in website displaying http 500 internal server error. removed component joomla folder still problem persists. we've informed company , teporarily we've been given new partition host website. on new partition we're using windows server 2008 r2 xampp, we've moved joomla folder , mysql database on , site running properly.

however, problem still exist when iis used. tried phpinfo(), php file , works when index.php used comes 500 error.

anyone know solution this?

did uninstall it? or delete folder contents off disk? not same thing!

if it's not compatible joomla, or php code isn't compatible servers version of php, that's problem.

we can host site on our linux/cent os platform, it's optimized joomla, vps dedicated hardward, great prices, , phenominal support. right i'd hands on in installation fixing right if :).

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
