Thread: Choppy (unwatchable) mp4 video

hi everyone.

having trouble watching mp4 video on netbook. it's samsung nf-210, dual-core 1.5ghz machine 2g ram. it's got 11.04 installed.

when playing mp4 movies, sound in time video play once every 10-20 seconds. i've installed various codecs try work more smoothly, realistically if i'm getting video @ there's chance codecs correct. problem persists if video on sd card, hard drive, or on camera's usb connection.

now, may suggest it's hardware; other solutions have been "get better computer". however, movies play flawlessly under win7 install on same machine. ubuntu requires less ram (500 mb less) win7 video should fine in ubuntu hardware-wise. win7 allows smooth video on camera or sd card hdd.

moreover, camera in question has component out cord , play movies fine on tv. camera has lesser specifications netbook, issue point software vs. hardware.

can these movies working better on netbook? other information required solution?

what kind of video card it? have installed video drivers it?

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
