Thread: Help with 5.1 surround sound on Extigy or other snd-usb-audio device

has been able 5.1 surround sound work soundblaster extigy usb sound device creative labs? alsa documentation says extigy supported. can great stereo no other channels. has got 5.1 surround sound work other usb sound device?

have put ubuntu pc use media center / home theater. i've got mythtv working dvr, mp3 music jukebox, digital photo frame, , dvd player. i’ve got 3 tv tuners simultaneous recording , watching different channels. lirc configured can navigate mythtv using simple ir remote control. have dual headed display, svga crt primary display of xfce desktop , other programs, while mythtv displays tv via s-video out.

except 5.1 surround sound, configured sweet couch-potato thumb can navigate system using simple remote. frustrating. put entire media center system $300 used stuff scrounged on ebay , yard sales. wanted do, except surround sound won’t work.

help!..

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
