Thread: No audio after a fresh install on a Dell XPS 15

just got brand new xps 15 in mail other day. under windows 7, appears work enough. once installed ubuntu though, audio stopped working.

after quick google session, saw few other people have had same problem, no 1 seems have solution. maybe i'll lucky.

makes upsetting sprung high quality jbl speakers built-in subwoofer.

specs:

processor 4x intel(r) core(tm) i5-2410m cpu @ 2.30ghz
memory 3012mb
operating system ubuntu 10.04.2 lts
audio adapter hda-intel - hda intel pch
hl-dt-st dvd+-rw gt32n
kernel linux 2.6.32-32-generic (i686)
desktop environment gnome 2.30.2

the dell xps 15 has optimus , linux doesn't work on it. if cannot return bumblebee may best bet.

may want write nvidia, fine if don't want support graphic card switching linux, ridiculous optimus enabled wouldn't able use nvidia card @ though support card linux driver.

PProHeadless.exe has stopped working error when opening projects in Adobe Media Encoder CS6

hi, upgraded adobe cloud cs6 , having problems adobe media encoder cs 6 (version 6.0.1.31 64-bit).   when try add adobe premiere projects in ame, gives me following error:   pproheadless.exe has stopped working   i tried rebooting, , still gives me same error.  project load, won't.   the premiere projects contain h.264 .mov file coming canon t2i.  added overlay logo bottom right of video created in adobe after effects, contains text, no effects, no motion, etc.  have .wav file recorded zoom h4n, not always.  edit in adobe audition remove noise feature.   i running on windows 7 ultimate 64-bit.  i'm using i7 16gb ram , ati 6870 video card.   i have lut buddy plugin installed.   it give me error first time try load project, , connection dynamic link server fail.  afterwards, if try load project again, if restart ame, stays stuck in connecting dynamic link server...   any provide appreciated. what happens when drag , a...
