De-Noise DSLR?
hello. can't seem find defininitve answer on internet this. if have canon 7d footage i've converted via neoscene, or matter, original .mov files if wanted edit natively , save time, need de-noise footage first before editing , color correcting? i've edited film , color correcting, stumbled on shane hurlbut's webpage cc in premiere , casually mentions de-noising without elaboration i'm not sure whether should or not. footage don't notice noise unless closely, using 1 corner of screen in premiere, on tv screen it'll more noticeable. rule of thumb should follow? thanks.
if have time , horsepower denoise offline can denoising while editing original file, that's smart way go. have replace media denoised media prior export , saves lot of time.
however, many people don't know need denoise, or need denoise small proportion of footage, is:
1) edit.
2) denoise
3) colour
in case of neat video , colorista ii (a combination use lot) denoise , colour @ same time (on export), put denoise before colour in effects chain.
