Indesign CS6 very slow with vectors. please Help!

we updated cs6 cs5.5 mac pro running os 10.6. processors 2 x 2.8 ghz quad-core intel xeon. ram 10 gb 800 mhz ddr2. video card ati radeon hd 2600 256 mb. 1 cinema display , smaller samsung monitor.

 

the performance of indesign when handling groups of vector files created inside indesign horrible. example, took little 3 x 3px square , created grid of 60 squares approx. when select of them (pure vectors) , try move them takes indesign 10 seconds respond selection first, , 10 more seconds move them.

 

another example, created simple graph, pure vector of course, moderate number of text , lines , when select whole thing lag comes again, takes lot mark selection , hard move it.

 

we have tweaked indesign preferences (interface, file handling) as issue remains. didn't have problems 5.5.

 

help please!

in interface prefs, changed live screen drawing other immediate, , turned on greek vector graphics on drag?

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
