Oil Paint Feature Request: Preview / No Preview Capability

a feature notably absent oil paint filter way temporarily disable effect (e.g., not preview it).

i happen using oil paint make refllections in surface of water smoother , more "liquid" (which involves turning off "shine"), and nice if gauge amount of effect blinking , forth between original , processed image quick "disable preview" functionality.

with standard filters, 1 can either uncheck [ ] preview box, and/or click mouse button down on image temporarily show image without effect.

yes, know can turn stylization down 0.1 , see how minimal amount of effect can be  applied.  , can @ original image in photoshop proper, of course can't zoomed while oil paint filter active.

also, zooming / panning seems kind of stiffly implemented.

in summary, more or less standard , expected filter features i'd see added (new class of) gpu-accelerated filters are:

  • preview/no preview capability.  doesn't have update photoshop, preview display in filter itself.  suggest [  ] preview checkbox and/or on-mouse-click temporary effect disable.

  • modal click , drag zooming vs. panning - i.e., based on zoom or pan function selected (e.g., via icon along left) vs. having hold modifier keys down.  want set zoom default, not pan.  since filter has scroll bars (a thing), have thought zoom have been better default is.

i have implemented these things in own gpu-accelerated plug-ins, know infrastructure adobe needs support them in there.  these changes controls , should trivial implement.

p.s., there may well-meaning folks amongst want suggest post on over photoshop.com.  not going happen.  forum more irritating one, , frankly want little it.  think concept of public voting on features ridiculous.  if adobe sees here , chooses consider it, fine.  if not, fine.

while hardly ever use filter, request preview/no preview setting makes sense me.
