Stroke path brush size issue

hey folks, got problem can't figure out...

 

in cs5 stroke path based on brush size/shape when choose "brush" , simulate pressure nice faded out lines.

 

in cs6 same thing stroke size never changes brush size when make sure "brush" selected.

 

any ideas?

 

 

 

second question... want add lights knoll light factory; there way preview lens flare on top of current layers see like? i'm trying position on top of specific area. know can change background layer specific place, getting full preview great.

does brush have pressure-sensitive features?

could please post screenshot pertinent panels visible?
