Thread: Adding more HDD space?

hey new here & new ubuntu love
more windows 7 <3 problem got 1.36tb hdd , set ubuntu use 7.3gb , sort of space how can add more it?

running side side install got windows 7 32-bit main os , ubuntu :3

-fox

what on hdd? have free space?

expand ubuntu partition easy booting livecd, opening system>administration>gparted, right click ubuntu partition (/), unmount expand ... but, need have free space expand in to.

if have ubuntu on 7gb , windows on rest means going need shrink windows create free space.

7gb fine / partition base install 15gb better if intend adding lots of apps. separate /home data (music, vids, etc.) on own partition outside of /. perhaps think reinstalling, time plan based on experience, creating like;

/ = 20gb
/home = big like
/swap = size of ram

... windows remaining is. add;

/share = ntfs file system

... sharing data between windows , ubuntu, if intend that, win read , write ntfs neither ext* partitions (used ubuntu).

welcome ubuntu , forums , luck ...
