Thread: Setting up a 3 internal fax server on 10.04 LTS

i hope can guide me else try.
have setup box 3 internal winmodems on ubuntu 10.04 lts.

ran scanmodem , identified modems follows:

candidate pci devices modem chips are:
01:04.0 communication controller: agere systems lt winmodem
01:05.0 communication controller: agere systems lt winmodem
01:06.0 communication controller: agere systems 56k winmodem (rev 01)
high definition audio cards can host modem chips.

have intsalled martian-modem , martian-modem-source packages straight
ubuntu packages, not detecting modems. believe there have do.

using webmin gui , installed hylafax package, hylafax not recognize modems. installed latest headers packages associated kernel (ie. 2.6.32-32-generic-pae). installed build-essential package since tried compile martian package scratch well.

@ point, not sure else do, know, have read, people have been able these winmodems work on 10.04 lts.

ideas else should try? appreciated.

have tried couple more things , close getting
faxserver , running.

had install "quilt" package , "debhelper" package in
order build martian.

followed instructions on readme/debian file of martian say:

kind of stuck @ point. keep researching , post later.
