Thread: Ubuntu 10.10 Chat status icon missing from panel

i'm not quite sure it's called, it's 1 speech-bubble next account name...
i've looked everywhere, because don't know it's called can't find it.

on forum can find ways mail icon back...

so.. ideas?

this part of "indicator applet session", includes power button session options. so, first make sure added panel. if so, the, say, status indicator still isn't there, make sure package "indicator-me" installed:

dpgk -l |grep indicator-me

if doesn't show there, install with:

code:

sudo apt-get install indicator-me

or can try reinstalling it:

code:

sudo apt-get install --reinstall indicator-me

if had install it, relogin thereafter or restart gnome panel with:

code:

killall gnome-panel
