Thread: Ubuntu 11.04 partition number 83 Value is out of range.
hi guys,
partition should linux can't allocate using * because partition number (1-7): 83
value out of range. want allocate 1 big linux partition small partition windows warranty purposes.i don't need other partitions got trying out different ubuntu versions. didn't know there! i'd appreciate help.

partition number (1-7):
the prompt asking partition number. that's 1 through seven. getting error because 83 not between 1 , 7. input partition number (sda[number]) want put linux partition on. won't response. push "t" (for type). tell type, put 83.
recommend using:
instead of fdisk. it's tad easier manage things properly.code:cfdisk
