Thread: Ubuntu Doesn't Boot
i'm positive has missing boot nonsense on drive.(grub perhaps?)
installed 11.04 server on computer 2 drives. have not set hardware define master , slave. 1 drive 160 gb (sda); other 120 gb. (sdb) formated both using gparted ext4. bios knows check 160 booting info first.
ubuntu installation began, , went well. used guided partition option lvm set partition of 32 gb on sda installation. installed grub no previous os installed.
upon booting, computer runs through bios , hangs @ blinking cursor if couldn't find device boot from: figure no drive on computer contains magic needed things rolling.
are sure grub installed on 160 , not 120? since hardware isn't setup master/slave it's possible ubuntu installer decided 120 going sda , 160 sdb , installed there (bios has no here).
if can, open one-time boot menu (usually f12 or f9) , try booting 120 (if haven't already).
