Thread: Web video streaming

i'm using ubuntu 11.04 natty narwhal on dell studio xps 16 laptop. watching video files of kind locally works fine movie player or vlc streaming video off web barely works @ all.

video becomes laggy , frame/refresh rate seems drop right down if laptop under extreme load. watching full screen isn't possible. i've tested in chromium , firefox it's not browser issue.

graphics card ati mobility radeon hd 4670 , cpu intel i7 q820 shouldn't underpowered.

have fix?

have installed flash player? in experience, flash player alone wouldn't play everything, instll swf player, adobe website.
