Transfer Catalog to new computer after I've deleted photos on old

i still use photoshop elements 5.0 since basic things need, although upgrade if necessary. problem want transfer catalog old xp computer new win7 mistakenly deleted photos (not catalog) xp already! photos on new computer of catalog not. can catalog only, restore new computer, , have reconnect photos on new computer? have seen articles on “use backup, restore move catalog” , “common catalog upgrade issues”, don’t want backup , restore catalog , messed up! btw, although photos on new computer, win7 catalog references august 2010 , may 2011-july 2012; xp catalog contains references july 2007-april 2011 (august 2010 on both).

there's no such thing "most" of catalog not being on new computer.  each catalog self-contained, , in catalog there is.

 

you might not answer, article using backup , restore move catalog , images 1 computer best way it.

 

since restore copy both catalog , image files new computer, want move photos on new computer off external hard drive (for safekeeping) before doing restore.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
