Thread: Delay between audio and video when playing a movie

hey everyone,

noticed delay since upgrade ubuntu 10.10 11.04. first thought problem bug in vlc (stack overflow) because hung after while (30 min or so).

however, since i've installed newer version of vlc (without bug) still notice small (irritating) delay between lips of characters , audio when playing movie. it's kind of brain molesting because see , hear not in sync.

i've noticed delay smaller movieplayer hence there still small (but not big) delay. notice it's still not synced.

i've reinstalled vlc , ubuntu restricted packages (for codecs).

idea or same experience can solution together?

in vlc in menu, choose "tools" , "track synchronization", there can +/- sound/video playback time in milliseconds.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
