Thread: Failing ISO_Level3_Shift behaviour

hi all!

apologies if not correct forum problem.

having unusual problem keyboard. use spanish layout common symbols available via alt-gr (iso_level3_shift) works intermittently.

using microsoft wireless multimedia keyboard 1.1 ubuntu 10.04.2 (fully updated) under virtualbox 4.0.10 on windows 7 host (which not present problems or unusual behaviours).

xev gives me

explanation:
first 2 keypress/release show correct functioning of alt-gr. see first bold & indented keypress.
press left-shift
alt-gr+2 correctly indicates have pressed 'at' no char. please observe 2nd bold & indented key press.

of note alt-gr raises level3 events, after shift_l keypress raises both control_l & level3 events.

assistance appreciated.

i have found if press control_l + level3 (alt_r) can normal working state , access level3 chars.

workaround no solution.

hope can shed light!
