Thread: How does the GNOME Keyring (SeaHorse) work?
hi all,
have started use gnome keyring application store information such passwords (along logins) don't have remember it. these passwords internet services, such websites. works well, wondering kind of protection keyring offer me?
understand file part of local storage. interestingly enough, when start keyring application, doesn't ask me password. worry keyring file, if stolen, grant thief passwords stored in keyring, on silver platter. so? thinking file encrypted password specified. keyring password not same login password, mind you.
can keyring application not ask me password because daemon remember password or keeps decrypted file in memory?
