Thread: Installing Ubuntu 11.04 on external hard drive drive...

ok - warn guys - i'm total newbie things linux! - bear me

install linux ubuntu 11.04 on external hard drive - partitioned , ready linux. i've downloaded , burnt .iso file dvd far....

first of all... possible without messing macbook? don't particularly want break macbook disconnect hard drive (i read on tutorial previous version of ubuntu i'd have that... - still apply 11.04?) - voids warranty (i checked ).

reason ask because had friend partitioned internal hard drive , installed ubuntu on it. after installation complete couldn't boot windows 7 or ubuntu... , resulted in them having clean install windows 7... - don't want end in situation

second... if possible install without messing macbook... - follow install instructions make sure possible make sure installed on external hard drive?...

need put mind @ rest run smoothly , i'll able run mac os x usual i'll able boot external hard drive run ubuntu.

hi. i'm no expert on macs problem tends catch people out , trash windows when ubuntu installer puts boot code on mbr of wrong disk.

now, expect if chose use entire disk boot code put on disk. not seem case. installer seems put on sda persons windows disk.

should safe long use advanced install explicitly tell put boot code on external disk. eg: /dev/sdc. not partition tho, sdc1.

PProHeadless.exe has stopped working error when opening projects in Adobe Media Encoder CS6

hi, upgraded adobe cloud cs6 , having problems adobe media encoder cs 6 (version 6.0.1.31 64-bit).   when try add adobe premiere projects in ame, gives me following error:   pproheadless.exe has stopped working   i tried rebooting, , still gives me same error.  project load, won't.   the premiere projects contain h.264 .mov file coming canon t2i.  added overlay logo bottom right of video created in adobe after effects, contains text, no effects, no motion, etc.  have .wav file recorded zoom h4n, not always.  edit in adobe audition remove noise feature.   i running on windows 7 ultimate 64-bit.  i'm using i7 16gb ram , ati 6870 video card.   i have lut buddy plugin installed.   it give me error first time try load project, , connection dynamic link server fail.  afterwards, if try load project again, if restart ame, stays stuck in connecting dynamic link server...   any provide appreciated. what happens when drag , a...
