Can I write a macro that will extract pages

i'm pretty @ using microsoft's vba writing macros in excel.  i'm wondering if acrobat has similar manipulate pdf files.  company has lot of pdfs want split small documents.  i'd able write script text, based page found text, extract range of pages new document.  think of taking book , having macro break chapters each chapter it's own pdf file.  better macro files in folder.  possible in acrobat?

it's possible javascript. javascript can using in batch sequence (aka action), deal collection of documents.

here basic methods you'd use:

doc.extractpages: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/acrobat9_1_htmlhelp/js_api_acrojs.88.465.html

doc.getnthpageword: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/acrobat9_1_htmlhelp/js_api_acrojs.88.486.html

doc.getpagenumwords: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/acrobat9_1_htmlhelp/js_api_acrojs.88.488.html
