Custom TOC WITHIN the Project?

one glaring weakness (in opinion) of captivate inability customize toc. included flat-out ugly, , customization options quite limited.

 

so hit me today try this:

 

use advanced action, along simple shape button toggle show/hide of toc.

 

i created quick example , works great....problem is, captivate won't allow grouped object pasted onto master slide, or grouped object (or object) anywhere retain it's reference name across slides.

 

has else tried before? thinking other approach might work develop toc in flash, export as3 swf, , import master slide, , trigger showing/hiding of via shape button in captivate. but, although can import swf master slide, can't give reference name , cannot manipulate via advanced action.

 

very frustrating....

 

is out there sticking either stock toc, or not better/different 3rd-party toc widgets out there?

 

any approaches haven't thought of recommend solve problem?

actually, honest, i've never regarded captivate toc "flat-out ugly" nor have felt current set of toc preference options constituted "inability customise" it. 

 

there bells , whistles i'd see added toc options, , large it's attractive solution requirement provide user navigation. compared other apps i've seen on years, stacks pretty well.
