Get stuck at the welcome screen

i installed photoshop elements 10 , photoshop premiere elements 10 on windows 7 professional 64-bit computer. installed disks ("adobe elements combi x nl 64, 64 bits in dutch).

installation not give errors - installation logs end "exit code: 0 - no error."

 

both premiere , photoshop have same problem: intitial welcome screen comes up. if click 1 of options (like "edit" or  "organize"). nothing seems happen: icon in front of "button" changes moving icon 10 seconds, original icon , program doesn't start.

 

also in taskmanager don't see changes (no new processes being started; processes "photoshop elements 10.0.exe *32" , "adobe premiere elements 10.exe" running). can problem?

 

i had installed cs5.5 in dutch on computer. after installing elements removed software, did not give better result.

 

any suggestions?

try making direct shortcut organizer , editor. make sure have correct file path there more 1 exe file. can launch programs directly desktop bypassing welcome screen. better welcome screen leaves background processes running.

 

on windows, right click anywhere on desktop , select new >> shortcut

then click browse button , navigate to:

 

"c:\program files (x86)\adobe\elements 10 organizer\photoshopelementsorganizer.exe"

 

then click next; click finish

 

　 

　 

 

then make direct shortcut editor in similar manner.
