If I install pse 8, will I be able to use earlier versions on the same computer?

i have pse 4 programs x(86) installed on windows 7 64 bit. got pse 8 bundled canoscan scanner. understand can not have both versions open @ same time on same computer. however, if close pse 4, able open pse 8 on same computer , use both full function?

"at install, pse 8 recognized pse 6 installed. did not force uninstall of version 6, prompts select version use. selected pse 8, , uneventfully completed pse 6 uninstall later. install routine advises you may uninstall earlier version @ time, have select version run."

 

so, mean once choose option of  pse version 8 during installation, no longer able use pse 4? once again, plan have 1 pse open @ time & close 1 version before open other version.

 

i pse 4 , ideally, want able use both pse 4 , pse 8 on same computer. either pse 4 open itself; or pse 8 itself.

 

i hope have been clear , appreciate advice @ all.

yes.  each version self-contained, standalone application.

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
