Thread: Bug with mail encoding and anacron

hi,

there error in ubuntu 10.4's anacron. doesn't send correct encoding header in e-mails. system encoding utf-8 (by default) e-mails sent out anacron don't have encoding or content-type headers. default, iso-8859-1 considered here, not match content.

specifying content_type environment variable in anacrontab file doesn't (although - , still required, should not - in crontab file).

since leads wrong or unreadable e-mail messages sent, consider bug should fixed. disagree?

unfortunately, cannot report bug in launchpad. link "report bug" in linked wiki page talks lot doesn't let me report bug. guess else more privileged account mine supposed that.

recently, unattended-upgrade job has started talk in german me, hasn't done before, , don't know why. that's not problem, need correct character encoding sorts of information prints out. in english wasn't problem.
