Thread: Contributing to existing projects, in QtCreator
hi
i'm kinda new linux programming , want contribute open source.
cloned pcmanfm project git (it's file manager in lubuntu) , played little using regular text editors uncomfortable.
yesterday discovered qtcreator blew mind. tried many ides in linux sucked way or another. problem is, since pcmanfm supplies autogen.sh script configuring , building, , no qtcreator proj file or cmakelists, qtcreator cannot open project , lose it's awesome advantages.
common solution this? if projects don't provide cmakelists why bother creating many ides?
hope answer won't create new qtcreator project , configure manually while transcribing makefile...
thanks,
eyal
is okay bump thread?
