Thread: "Run in terminal" and how to stop it from autoclosing (10.04)
guten tag, mein freunds! (german, how multicultural!)
looking starting point on how tweak 10.04 gnome bit.
setup:
desktop or nautilus double-click on script or executable. pops nifty window 4 button choices: run, run in terminal, display, , cancel.
running things in gnome-terminal check output; reading terminal output game in wine helped me figure out needed fix tweaked perfectly. "run in terminal" button doesn't keep terminal window open, autocloses exit program, negating purpose of running in terminal.
question:
best way go changing behavior allow window remain open? i'm thinking akin adding pause command batch file in msdos, applied opened programs using button. thoughts?
open terminal (accessories -> terminal) , following steps:
edit -> profile preferences -> title , command
@ bottom there selection labeled "when command exits" , should set "exit terminal" default.
change option "hold terminal open."
