Thread: Putty

hi, using putty log on remotly on unix machine.
make home , end keys work changed putty setting:
connection -> data -> terminal-type string
xterm linux...
gues putty sets string value term variable whenever log on.
home , end keys working expected, when edit file vim, file content remains displayed when exit vim.
somehow possible return previous screen when exiting vim (as xterm)?

in advance

hi,

sadly don't think possible, putty uses called "pterm" whereas linux & other distributions use "xterm". maybe if go through versions may find 1 after (ref: http://www.leagueofreason.co.uk/view...hp?f=67&t=6930) cgywin may viable alternative

sorry couldn't more,
daniel
