Thread: Should i upgrade to 11.04

so, here goes!

i've been windows user life, untill beggining of may. friend (who has technology knowledge - not me) explained ubuntu me i've decided take - , amazed. may funny you, looks of got me excited, because i'm not pro user. need computer typing, browsing internet, listening music , watching movies. i've decided ditch games, because don't have time them.

so, decided install 11.04, kept crashing, , when managed install it, nothing work (software center etc.). so, after day of struggle, decided install 10.10, , happy it.

so, here's question.

should upgrade 11.04? i'm not hacker or anything, need libreoffice (which love! nice, fresh transition ms office), rhythmbox or banshee, , vlc player , i'm more or less done.

11.04 working enough me , time upgrade?

to make long story short, no.

11.04 experimental release, wait 11.10 or, better, 12.04

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
