Contact Form Used for Spamming - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hello,

i getting bounces in spam box 1 of joomla sites' email address , had hostgator (my host) it, because 1) annoying (i got 100 spam bounces in 6 hours!), , 2) end suspending account because spamming violates contract hostgator. anyway, have better things spam people @ 5:30am, wasn't me. security team took , said joomla contact form culprit. disabled , site contact-formless.

this concerns me, because of sites use joomla's contact form, don't want risk having reseller account suspended because of spamming. don't know other use extension, bad.

does have suggestions of next? worrying me.

try turning on recaptcha comes joomla 2.5.x have enable recaptcha , keys http://www.google.com/recaptcha actively use the contact form within joomla

for example see: http://www.boonewebmaster.com/about/contact-info

i never use form out recaptcha forms can spammed if hacker finds form not using method identify human input on spam-bot.

you can find recaptcha going plugin manager , search recaptcha , enable , configure plugin keys google.
