CS6 Loaded Sound File Doesn't Play

i'm using trial version of cs6 on mac pro system running mac os x 10.7 lion system.

 

here's happens:

 

this issue in cs6 trial (and unfortunately don't have trial number cannot uninstall , try re-install) trial.

the issue is:

play function not working when sound file opened.

the issue repeatable , major problem.

when open sound file (lets it's aif file) waveform shows , looks normal.

but if press space bar or move mouse , click on play button there no response.  play head not move.

if manually move playhead on soundwave, hear sound coming out of speakers. if press play button or space bar playhead not move. 

a peculiar work around found press record starts recording on waveform expected.  hit stop.  can press play or space bar , playhead moves fine.  of course have press edit-undue undue record.

any idea how can fix since don't have trial number anymore?

 

there 15 days left on trial , sure nice extended if possible.

i have same problem (in audition) & i've signed creative suite. seems come & go. when click play (or press space bar) play arrow goes green happens tracks toggled active/inactive. annoying, try record workaround.

 

edit: whenever click on record, audition crashes. several times in row now. urgent job finish. infuriating.
