FAQ: My files are missing from the Library, or How to reconnect your images?

what lightroom library?

the library module of lightroom can used arrange, codify, systemize, group, , classify media. when import images , video library, adding information files catalog. files remain on hard drive were, unless importing them camera, in case files copied hard drive location of choosing.

 

what lightroom catalog?

the catalog database stores information files you've imported lightroom. when importing file, first thing lightroom collect file's name , location on hard drive. if file has attached compatible metadata, such keyword tags, these imported well. can use multiple catalogs , catalogs can carried forward version version.

 

why lightroom files missing?

since catalog database stores information file, , not file itself, if of information changed outside of lightroom, connection file lost. there 3 ways can happen: file name changed, file location changed, or file has been deleted. if need rename, move, or delete file, can within library module, , connection not lost.

 

what reconnecting?

when file has been renamed, moved, or deleted, catalog database needs updated new information. reconnection process allows point out file's new name, it's new location, or delete database entry on file if file no longer exists on hard drive.

PProHeadless.exe has stopped working error when opening projects in Adobe Media Encoder CS6

hi, upgraded adobe cloud cs6 , having problems adobe media encoder cs 6 (version 6.0.1.31 64-bit).   when try add adobe premiere projects in ame, gives me following error:   pproheadless.exe has stopped working   i tried rebooting, , still gives me same error.  project load, won't.   the premiere projects contain h.264 .mov file coming canon t2i.  added overlay logo bottom right of video created in adobe after effects, contains text, no effects, no motion, etc.  have .wav file recorded zoom h4n, not always.  edit in adobe audition remove noise feature.   i running on windows 7 ultimate 64-bit.  i'm using i7 16gb ram , ati 6870 video card.   i have lut buddy plugin installed.   it give me error first time try load project, , connection dynamic link server fail.  afterwards, if try load project again, if restart ame, stays stuck in connecting dynamic link server...   any provide appreciated. what happens when drag , a...
