Forbidden You don't have permission to access /index.php on - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i forbidden error on site. don't have permission access /index.php on server
and says this
additionally, 404 not found error encountered while trying use errordocument handle request.

now found out problem. permissions index.php 0.
this friends website had installed 1.5 years ago , have been managing it. told me have not messed permission @ all.

i know solution change permission. there slight hitch though. cuteftp not allow me change permission.
there different workarounds that. first 1 think logged in passive mode. second can replace file backup or ask hosting company change permissions

why posting because don't seem find issue anywhere permission have "automatically" changed 0.(i have seen issues administrator/index.php , configuration file , not seem problem this)
i want make sure website has not been hacked , joomla provider (even though don't work on 1.5 anymore) know issue here.
any appreciated. thank you

you should use forum post assistant provide additional information solve issue.

please download filezilla , should let change permissions (depending upon access have host).

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
