Getting register email rejection notice - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support


customer not getting emails users registering.

i, however, super user got email today when user tried register:

this message created automatically mail delivery software.

a message sent not delivered 1 or more of its
recipients. permanent error. following address(es) failed:

xxx@shaw.ca
smtp error remote mail server after initial connection:
host idcmail.shaw.ca [64.59.134.8]: 554-idcmail.shaw.ca
554 connection 50.22.242.34 has been rejected due poor reputation.

what happening , how can fix it?

you on shared hosting? people share ip's if neighbor malicious or things email spamming ruined reputation ip , in series of database project honeypot, cloudflare, , various others.

you can use services cloudflare go behind proxy , screen out malicious users, bots, etc. or query ip's against services reduce fraud , etc. shaw thinks it's spam based on behavior of ip in past.

we host joomla sites , use vps user's have dedicated resources , ip addresses. we've dealt businesses , result want security, piece of mind, performance, , etc. shared never option. should able dedicated ip on shared, few bucks extra.
