hi, joomla 2.5 installation hangs @ pre-installation check, fresh install on new website.

i assume fpa using rocket launcher install joomla?
given size of rocket launcher package there may issues servers max_upload/max_post settings.
system tmp/ directory not writeable.
directory permissions @ 777 unsafe , incorrect. these should 755 , file permissions should 644. report indicates there may file ownership issues. these result of server not using fastcgi. remember ownership , permissions 2 different things.
there number of highlighted apache modules may contributing issues.
register_globals set on(1) when should off(0).
have tried doing standard joomla installation without using rt package?
it not possible establish mysql information fpa site not installed yet. please confirm version of mysql , collation character set database has been created with.
