Premiere Pro CS6 extreme project bloating and Media Encoder

i'm interested in hearing if others having issue , if there's fix.  first noticed bug in cs5 , hasn't changed in cs6.0.1.  editor i'm working discovered problem @ expense of project being usable day before clients coming in work on cuts.

 

here's what's happening: have 20mb commercial project, no warp stabilizer in play, no frequent "save as..." commands being used, both of seem contribute project bloating based on online research.  i've been using premiere finishing timeline since cs5 , noticed then, when making settings in media encoder, when click , drag sequences me instead of using "add premiere pro sequence" menu option, premiere project file size increases , saves , autosaves start taking several minutes complete.

 

we've been using "add premiere pro sequence" method send things me on project editor getting impatient amount of time taking me load project , point pick sequences wanted encode.  did bit of research , found click , drag method faster.  after handful of times using method, project size went 20mb 3.71gb.  our autosave folder set keep 5 versions of project , can see project size doubling 477mb 840mb 1.6gb.

 

i able import 477mb project new project , save out @ original size of 20mb.  however, meant lost 90 minutes worth of work.  tried import 3.71gb file overnight , had made no progress when came in am. 

 

reading online, found "save as..." command had caused kind of duplication of preview file links in project code.  opened our 20mb project in textwrangler , compared 840mb project's lines of code.  20mb project had 400k lines , 840mb project had million.  difference appeared stem links preview files.  wanted try clear out see if project size down but, because of file size, textwrangler crashed.

 

is there way clean out bloat these projects without importing new project?  also, there settings in media encoder or premiere prevent bloat happening when using click-drag method of getting sequences me?  we're using "use preview files" option, speeds compression in me, might contributing issue.

mac pro 2.66 ghz 12-core

16gb ram

nvidia quadro 4000

atto fibrechannel card

blackmagic design decklink extreme 2

After Effect warning: A problem occurred when processing OpenGL commands

i have after effects cs6 in computer cs5.5 installed. 64bit windows 7 ultimate 20gb memory , 2 amd radeon hd 6900 series display adapters drivers updated hour ago (driver date 27.7.2012, version 8.982.0.0).   when trying use after ecffects, error message " after effect warning: problem occurred when processing opengl commands " when clicking composition window.   what done? not much, i'm afraid. need older graphics driver. other disable second card or play configuration. unfortunately not smart person decided cs6 no longer need manual opengl control user, there's no way suppress within program force-revert software-only modes in case of such issues...   mylenium More discussions in After Effects adobe
