Searchwords are not encoded in the url?! - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hello guys,

so far solved of problems alone lol, on 1 use little help:

when enter spaces , special characters "&", "?" etc. passed unencoded , resulting url not valid.

i have search engine friendly urls enabled in core, no special sef plugins installed though.

i using sobipro on site , disabled sobipro search plugins, should problem should lie somewhere in core or?

any idea may have caused this? cannot if ever worked correctly, i've been working on different parts of site far , in final steps noticed "bug".

additional info:

it seem have sef urls. when manually enter "%20" space url example gets converted spaces.

so solve have edit htaccess then? or url rewrite declared?

the boss strikes again - figured out myself again! (really useful forum here, has same problem finds thread..)

i edited controller.php of com_search.

first added string replaces ' ', '&', '?' searchword, didn't yet.

the url still converted back, had remove jroute::_ function on redirect.

now still converts spaces, seems browser related (happens on google too), other special chars '&' , '?' correctly encoded in url.

(gotta test if works in search, more important doesn't break search when enters 1 of characters imo)
