is in right forum ? don't know i'm stupid understand 1 correct, don't understand what's causing problem.

ok, problem. video's being displayed/played slow/lagging/pixellated/not play smoothly.

far can work out, have correct stuff installed, don't know....

if @ additional drivers "thing" (pop window ? or whatever it's called), says "this driver activated not in use" toward bottom of window, @ top, says "no proprietary drivers in use on system" far can work out, "current version" installed, not "switched on" use.

i've seen info alludes called "nouveau", might be, anyones guess.....

using proprietary nvidia driver, because in past, attempts @ using open ones have failed , i've had far best experiences proprietary one.

if has ideas how can achieve this, i'd happy hear/read them.

far can find out, stuff has been changed/updated/upgraded etc seems config stuff no longer in /etc/x11/xorg.conf, have no idea should doing (not had idea before, there seemed lots of ideas/suggestions earlier versions @ least, blindly try out - without understanding doing i.e. hit 'n miss).
