Thread: chfn Full name

i did man on chfn , read it, , seems have specify user name changing finger name for. guess wont work if dont include username, after doing 'sudo chfn' shows 'full name:' how input full name if take 1 word?

tried 'sudo chfn -f <first name><last name> <username>'
tells me <last name> doesnt exist, wtf?

of course im not putting corner brackets words im sure understand, doing wrong here?

i must complete , utter retard used double quotes prior username:

sudo chfn -f "first last" <username>
